Meet Bossa

Lingerie with a Brazilian soul, made in Girona

We are Karen and Sergio. She designs and sews; he handles finances and strategy. At Bossa, we combine the tradition of our grandmother's factory in Brazil with our workshop in Girona to create comfortable, sensual lingerie that's very much you.

Our grandmother's factory in Brazil

In 1980, Karen’s grandmother opened a small children’s underwear factory in Brazil. Thirty years later, it had become one of the country’s main exporters: more than 100 different brands relied on her work, and today more than 12,000 garments are produced weekly.

Her grandmother designed and manufactured panties for girls aged 3 to 12, always with a very clear obsession: good stitching, good materials, and perfect finishes. There, among piles of fabrics and machines running non-stop, Karen and the rest of the family learned the trade.

From Brazil to Girona

When the family emigrated to Spain, all that experience traveled in the suitcase. After two years here, we decided to follow in grandma's footsteps and take our own leap: open a small workshop in Girona and start from scratch in another country.

Our first Bossa workshop

We started with 30 m², two machines, and a capacity of about 500 garments per month. Little space, a lot of nerves, and a very clear dream: to bring sewing and haute couture back to Girona with an authentic and natural brand that unites the Brazilian essence of the family with our life here.

"

This is how Bossa was born: as a bridge between my grandmother's factory and this small workshop in Girona, where today we design and make every garment you see on the website.
